The first week of my rotation to music was very interesting to me. I was used to analysing puppet shows from the perspective of an art student, but when we looked at phantasmagoria, we focused mainly on the music side of the show. I improved my collaborations skills by working as a group, my music skills by creating pieces and improving on them as well as adding sound effects using our voices and new instruments that I have just discovered.
On the first week, we had chosen our groups and established a story line. We chose my story because my group thought it was the most horrific and had the most interesting storyline. We worked together along with art to a great puppet show with detailed puppets, a handmade light box and a total of 3 different songs that were accompanied by hair-raising sound effects!
I think we were able to successfully manage our time as we had followed the time management sheet that we created at the very beginning.
